Loving Father

I remember the first time I saw this movie it hit me like a brick. The image of the father giving up his only son can be related very well. The imagery is beautiful in this little clip. I would definitely categorize it as a tragedy. The thing that I like most about this clip is the fact that there are no lyrics to the music and it doesn't ten to sway your emotions to think one way or another. This film maker is fantastic. The most intense moment for me is when the father has to make a decision. Save people that he doesn't even know and kill his son, or save his son and forget about the people on the train. This could be related to Christ's story very easily. Would God have his son killed for sinners, or spare his son and kill everyone else on earth. It makes me think which person am I on that train? Am I the selfish person? Am I the serious person? The hurting person? Yet someone died so that I may live. That it a very powerful image. One other thing that I wish to point out is the fact of the father in this video. He can be seen as a basic representation of the father God. When he weeps in this video after losing his son, I think that accurately shows what God did when Jesus died on the cross. Many people think of God as this old man who is always angry. This showed the tender side of God and how he wept for his only son who died for all the sinners on earth. I think that it is definitely profound. Anyone else think so?
