If you saw my last blog you saw that I'm a big fan of these videos. The first video is an awesome/hilarious action video. The other two videos are behind the scene videos that I think are pretty sweet. I don't know how to do the effects they use in the video, but I am really interested in learning. Check them out.

Real life Mario Kart!!
These guys are awesome!!!! They make really entertaining videos and put them on youtube (mainly action videos). The coolest part though is that they actually put links on every video to go to the video of how they make their videos. Really really awesome, I'm a huge fan.
FILM film FILmmmmMmM

Saints Row for dayyssss
So I blogged a while ago about how video games where an art form... So i decided I would blog about my most recent video game investment, Saints Row: The Third.
Saints Row is a video game series that started off trying to be like the famous video game, Grand Theft Auto. On it's way to the third game, the makers of Saints Row realized that it will never be the same as Grand Theft Auto so they decided to just make the game as ridiculous and vulgar as possible.Obviously not the most morally correct game. However, it is one heck of a game... From stealing cars, shooting up rival gangs, and beating up people with inappropriate objects, the game wins the most inappropriate/ridiculous/reallyentertaining video game award.
Passing Hearts
Passing Hearts was a great short film that we watched in class. It was a heartwarming/sad short film that made you guess what was going on most of the film. I figured out what the film was about when he was in the other boy's room. Great short film, A+! =D
Photoshop funNNNnnNn
Sooooooo here's a picture that I made on photoshop about a year ago. One of my favorite things to do when I'm really really bored is make pictures on photoshop. I like to pick a song, put it on repeat, then create a picture of what I see during the song. The process is really relaxing and fun. I usually take a bunch of pictures off the internet and create one setting.
This picture was made to the song Gangstas Paradise by Coolio... lol...

Some of my "work"
Okkaayyyyyy. Semester is winding down and I'm going to be blunt... I need some blog credits. So I have resorted to posting my own work from the past. This is a video that me and my friends made during my high school film class when we had nothing else to do. Warning you now it's pretty dumb, cheesy, and painfully long. However I did get to play ping pong during school all day... yeah here it is. If I were you I would stop the video at 2 minutes.
The art of video games
I would like to take a blog to talk about the sweet art of video games. I'm sure most have mixed feelings about the subject. However, video games take a lot of work. They need writers for the campaigns in the game, people to help create the animations, and much much more. The stories, characters, and the way the games are played are all art forms. very entertaining art forms. That is all...

Blood Simple
Okay... so this is really really late but I found this blog in a word document and realized I never blogged about blood simple.... lol
Blood Simple, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. The film is about a man named Julian Marty who is jealous of a man named Ray because he is sleeping with Julian's wife, Abby. Julian's jealousy goes too far when he tries to hire an private investigator, Loren Visser, to kill Ray and Abby for revenge. Unfortunately, Julian's plan doesn't work out the way he intended. I don't want to give anything away so I'll leave it at that. The film was awesome. A real heart thumper. I went in expecting a pretty boring film and found that this is one of those films that keeps you guessing the whole time and it has very unexpected parts. Brilliant.
TOM Cruiissseeeee woop
Tom Cruise is back! I guess.. There's a lot of movies that I am absolutely pumped for that are coming out sometime soon and this is one of them. Mission Impossible 4 is coming out and if your a Mission Impossible fan you should be pretty pumped. I personally always thought Mission Impossible was pretty average because I always compared it to James Bond which in my mind is the best by far. However, I heard this movie is supposed to be pretty sweet... Here's the trailer.
Also... Tom Cruise does his own stunts..

Get Shorty, Be Cool
Surprisingly a lot of people I know have never heard of the movie, Get Shorty, and it's sequel, Be Cool. I personally think these movies are amazingly entertaining. My favorite of the two would have to be Be Cool. Be Cool is about Streetwise mobster-turned-movie producer named Chili Palmer. Chili has abandoned the fickle movie industry that he got into in the first movie and veered into the music business, tangling with Russian mobsters and gangsta rappers and taking a talented, feisty young singer named Linda Moon under his wing. From the recording studio to an Aerosmith concert to the MTV Music Awards, he manipulates events to watch them play out the "Chili way", using his signature blend of wiseguy skills and negotiation tactics. It's a dangerous business, and everyone is looking for their next big hit.
However, with it's all-star (ish) cast some people aren't very fond of these movies. I was wondering if sometimes people making movies hire a super cast in order to guarantee success, and how many times it fails.
The Fervent
The Fervent is the name of my group's final short film project. This film took us two days to film and a day to edit. The experience was so much fun. Finally getting to work with a group in a semi professional setting was a lot of fun. The film went a lot smoother that I thought it would, being the first actual short film and all. Heres the link for the video.

I Remain
I Remain is Ben Daron's final project for sight sound and motion. The song was writen by Alli Dozet. Ben is my RA so I saw a lot of the editing process and it was pretty cool. Overall I think the video was very well done. The lighting is great and the black and white adds great style.
First short film
As most of you freshman are aware we finished our short films. I just wanted to blog about my experience in general. Our story was about a guy that has past regrets with drug problems and gets his best friend heading in the wrong direction. It's a film about regret.

Cool music video
Here's a music video that I think is really cool. Its the video for Stylo, by the Gorillaz. I like it because the video is very pleasing to the eye. Also I enjoy how the video goes with the song so well. I'm not an animation major but I think the animation in this video looks pretty awsome. If your familiar with the Gorillaz, I think this is one of their coolest videos by far.

Memento rRrRrreviewwwwwW
So I saw the movie Memento, directed by Christopher Nolan, the other day and I have to say I've never seen anything like it... The movie is about a man who has a short term memory loss problem who is on a mission to find whoever murdered his wife. The thing about this movie that makes it unique is that the story in the movie is told in reverse. The movie starts with the end and ends with the beginning. I really liked this movie and I thought the way it was filmed was fascinating. As a film major this film makes me want to take more creative looks on my films while making them. So many people make films that are normal and that aren't original.
My movie trailerrrrrrrr
I know we did this project awhile ago, but here's my movie trailer project. I did the movie the fighter because it is one of my favorite newer movies. This project was a lot harder than I thought it would be but it was a lot of fun. The link is below.

I found this project to be a challenge mainly because I waited until the last minute... also I thought it was going to be easier. A lot of the movie i ripped didn't work either, which just happened to be a lot of the clips I wanted to use.

Movie Inspirations
I was watching the movie The Fighter the other day. I have to say that it is one of my new favorite movies. I have watched the movie three times now and the ending still sends chills down my spine. The movie is a classic underdog movie about a boxer. Which is probably why the whole movie I couldn't stop comparing it to the classic Rocky series. I was wondering if the director was inspired by any of the Rocky movies.
Sure enough when I watched the special features the director said he was inspired greatly by the Rocky series and he actually said he wanted to make the new Rocky. Being the huge Rocky fan I am, I believe this task is impossible. However, he did direct one heck of a movie.
This connection between movies really got me thinking though. I wonder how many other big movies were inspired by old classics. I started thinking about newer action movies like the Bourne movies and comparing them to older movies like the older James Bond movies. ALSO... I recently found out that John lasseter was inspired by James Bond and Jason Bourne to create the secret agent car in Cars 2 (Finn Mcmissile)

Awesome Pixar Montage
I stumbled upon this awesome Pixar montage and thought it was absolutely amazing. I am a big Pixar fan and this is a DMA class so I'm sure most of you are as well.
