Rawr

Ok, unless you live under a rock, you should know by the title what this blog is going to be about...

Lion King in 3D...one of the highlights of my life (Or my first month at college). It was amazing! I usually can't sit through most 3D movies but this one was soooooo different from the others i've seen! It was beautifully done.

this picture makes me happy :)

Anyway, seeing the movie in 3D wasn't even the best part. It was by far the fact that all of the Hardy girls (and a few guys in there somewhere...) started singing immediately.
I can't even imagine a world without Disney movies to sing along too...let's face it, if there wasn't singing along with Disney movies, what movies would you sing too? Not batman or whatever is popular nowadays. What other types of movies would have us skipping out of the theater humming along with a group of friends after getting a group photo in front of the movie's title.

Disney movies are just special in their own way. It's the music that just makes these types of films. It gives you the same happy go lucky feeling you get when walking out of a broadway musical...or at least for me it does. Put a great plot and a couple musical bars and BOOM! Success.
At this time, I would like to mention a few other amazing human beings other than Walt Disney, and they are Alan Menken and Tim Rice. Tim Rice (with Elton John) wrote the music for Lion King and worked with Menken on Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
(they deserve those)
While Walt Disney was amazing in what he did, we must give credit to those who provide what makes the animated world a little more magical, the music.

  1. The movie was awesome!! I loved watching it-AS ALWAYS! There are some things I noticed that I had never before realized were in the movie such as how the stars in the sky constantly twinkle and at the end how Timon was waving his hands in the air in a "victory dance" style as Kiara (Simba and Nala's cub) is introduced. They may have just added these things in when modifying the animation to become 3D. Either way, the movie was fantabulous and I had goosebumps for most of it! :)

  2. The waving of Timon's hands was always in the movie. YEA! there were other things that I noticed looked different. It seemed like there were more animals and stuff in the beginning and Hakuna Matata looked a little different too.
    Love it AS ALWAYS too!!!!
