You are better than this

I recently started working in the micro-cage for broadcast in the MCA. My first day there turned very sour.

I quickly discovered that everything was missing something. I suppose this should be expected since it is young college students who check them out. What's more important is that I discovered that a number of the SD cards were gone. The broadcast students had an assignment to do an interview, which meant that I was handing out a number of zoom kits. (If you don't know, a zoom kit is a microphone kit with lapel mic and recorder best used in interviews.) Out of the SIX kits in the cage at the time I had ONE SD card. For those who couldn't provide their own SD card (something you should really consider buying) I had to tell them to head to 3rd floor Becker and see if they could set them up. Having to walk across campus to get one little thing didn't make anyone too happy.

So, I had to stop and start taking inventory, begin piecing together as many full kits as I could. I thought that the cameras were fine (just remember to remove the battery when you are done!), until someone complained that they were only able to record 5mins worth of footage. Someone had removed the larger SD card (Either 8 or 16 gigs) and replaced it with a 2 gig card.

The numbers here don't lie. This kind of thing goes beyond just being forgetful. There is some bold faced theft going on here. I really expected better from a Christian college.

When you check out equipment in the future be sure to go over every bit of it and make whoever is working take note if something isn't right so you don't get blamed.
