Alright, so I thought I'd share a few pieces of my art with you all; throw them out their for comments and criticism.
I don't want to say too much about them, because I'd really love it if some of you would give me your interpretations of them. A few of them have specific meanings behind them, a few of them don't. We talked about in class, awhile back, a guy (unfortunately I can't remember his name) who brought in his magnificent art and had no idea what it was about, and then someone else TOLD him what it was about. That was kind of incredible and mind blowing to me, so I thought it might be fun to test this among ourselves.
Of course, my art is NOT magnificent or anywhere near it, but I'm still really interested in what you all think about it and would appreciate some comments.
WOW! I love your artwork! I'm inspired to post some of my work now...well...not my work, Walt Disney's but anyway, love your drawings!
ReplyDeleteSo, I really like the two with color the best. They feel more expressive to me, i guress?
ReplyDeleteThe first one feels like a woman who's family is broken, or her loved ones are far away, and she can't see them at the moment. Though the rose kinda points to loved ones/one. Being a rose.
The next one feels sad. almost sadder than the one before. Not only is she alone, but there's all this happy stuff and bright colors around her, and yet she's alone, holding her cupcake. I hope she at least wished for something happy... I like the shadows behind the balloons alot. I think they add to it.
I like the painter/drawrer one the best. He seems so happy and content that he seems like the reason the picture is so bright. It seems like a calm happy soothing picture. It doesn't feel like a picture with a story attached. I like his pants. They look like they're in ravenclaw colors.
The last one feels like a picture of a child with a secret. But not an important, urgent secret. Just something he's not telling the viewer at the moment.
I like them. Was I close at all? Or was I horribly wrong?
