What if

This movie is closer to the realm of truth and not religion in my book. The Director created a very good work that contained humor, yet gave a salvation message. For those of you who don't know, this story starts off with a man and woman at a bus station. The man (who is the main character) is telling his wife that we will be back to get her in eight months. As the story progresses, we find out that he never did, and he is dating a totally different woman. He has even proposed to her. The main character then has a talk with his boss and becomes part owner in the company. He decides to celebrate and buys a new, very expensive, car. He decides to drive it home and it breaks down on him. His air bag then knocks him out and when he wakes up, a tow truck has come to his rescue. He then is taken to a different part of his life and later falls in love with it. The reason I love this movie is because of how it shows what we can have with Jesus. Sure, during his days at that company he could have had a lot of stuff, but he is empty inside. He is still searching for something to fill that hole of emptiness. Thus is why he is getting married, and buying things. Then God shows him what he is missing through the great what if. He finds the fulfillment that he was looking for. In one part of the movie, he is asked to preach and he says "What we need to do is make more money for the church." This shows that he doesn't quite get it yet. In the end he figures out that what he needs is God, and to be equally yoked with a woman who has the same beliefs. I highly recommend this movie.
