I love music videos. I'm so stoked we're about to cover them in class, because they're among my favorite mediums. In four to five minutes, quite a story can be told, and film will always go hand-in-hand with music for me. I can't play a lot of instruments very well, and I'm not the best singer, but I love music. Luckily, I've been able to use my gifts to still have fun with music. A lot of my friends are musical and I've known a lot of bands growing up on a personal level, and I always liked doing music videos for them. Last year, in my TV class, something we did pretty frequently was make music videos. The videos we made then weren't very serious, and we were mostly trying to be funny, but they were still a lot of fun to shoot. Editing with a lip-sync is a brand new experience. Here's our parody of Enrique Iglesias's "Hero" last year. Pretty funny, but its obviously made by high schoolers who were simply handed Handycams and computers.
