A Simple Reflection

I was thrilled this morning when I decided not to sleep through church since our very own Prof Leeper was talking at 509! His testimony got me thinking in the way that makes my brain hurt just like in class sometimes. I think we've all had stupid days professor.
It seems like the best time to blog for me is after church on sundays so here we go again!

Has anyone ever had a religion confusion type feeling? Not the type where you question your faith exactly but more of a what is the truth kind of thing? No? ok, i'm alone.
Anyway, I was feeling something similar in the last week when I went home and went to two different churches. I grew up Catholic but also went to my Mom's church, which is protestant. Some of you are probably thinking, oh wow two churches every sunday, how boring. I've thought it was too, believe me. It was two completely different atmosphere's. On top of that, my old church that closed about 6-7 years ago still got together in the time between the other two I already went too. My sunday's were long, lets just say.
Both my mom and dad's church was traditional in there own way...yippee for tradition! Just kidding with the sarcasm...
I'm not complaining in any way about my upbringing but i'll confess, I was a very confused little kid when it came to what religion made more sense when neither one of them actually made any sense to me. If you've ever been to a Catholic church, you probably understand, it's confusing.
After 17 years of the two every sunday, i came to Huntington and went to 509...it was an experience at first. I've been to the kinds of places where it's not the religion, its the relationship with God sort of thing, but I never expected to actually like it! It actually gives me a good feeling after leaving and a sense that I've actually learned something versus the confusion i'm used too. I've been told that coming here would actually help you understand your home religion...believe it or not, theres truth behind that statement.

I guess this blog is basically a reflection of the different faiths in my life. It also somewhat prepares me for my testimony or the story of how I got here that I'm telling my floor at floor chapel this week.
And now we've come full circle, thanks Professor for making me realize that it's good to share your story.

Here's a song I listen to every sunday after church. It just makes me happy :)
