My 6th Favorite Movie of All Time: The Godfather (1972)

This is perhaps the greatest movie of all time, and any list you can google should come pretty close to backing that up. One of its biggest competitors for the top spot, in fact, is the sequel. The acting is all stunning, the plot & set design are wonderfully authentic, the score is unforgettable and the editing is a wonder, the way the pace is set and the way the sub-plots unfold along with the main one. I got really into these movies when I was in seventh grade, and it inspired me to read the novel. I have to say, this is one of the rare cases where the movie is a work of art that stands out on its own alongside the novel rather than in its shadow. 100/100 from me.
