shivering in scranton

At the time of writing this I was freezing my toes off to help with a film in Scranton. Its cold, its windy, its slow and boy o boy its cold. This sums up my days of helping on a senior project in Scranton. The film is a WWII film. And I now know that nothing in any class can prepare you for the work that takes  place on a real set. Learning all new terms and being thrown in sink or swim is a great experience. It’s a learn or get out environment and I loved every minute. Never knew what was next, building a fake leg to be blown off a person, helping make a rig to blow a guys brains out.  Even seeing some upper level film makers in action was a learning process. If you haven’t yet get on a set and get some experience  the class room can only teach so much.
