Tyler Perry

Tonight I sat and watched Tyler Perry's Madea's Christmas. Its a play that I assume will soon become a film just because that is normally the trend with this man. I just wanted to talk about Tyler Perry and his accomplishments as Christian filmmaker. Before he was director, writer, and actor, he was a pastor. Now I absolutely love Tyler Perry's movies, and I always look forward to his plays and I positively idolize this man as a creative individual. Not only has he stayed true to his beliefs (Christian based), but he has found a happy medium between smothering his audiences and spoon feeding them with truth.

Personally I think he has found a beautiful way of sharing the gospel and enhancing it with comedy and/or drama. The comedy is spicy, witty, and in good taste. The drama is believable, applicable, and convicting.
I believe his movies speak to a demographic, to a population, and to our generation in a unique way. I believe his movies bring to surface daily problems, but he doesn't just leave them exposed, he guides his audience to a resolution.
