The beginning of something great...

[WARNING! This will be over-dramatized...why? because it's fun :) ]

Ok, well, maybe not something great, but it was a beautiful dream in the moment. As some of you know by the video that was posted recently (on Kelsey McCoy's blog) that a few of us went filming the other day. Only a few of us (not me!) knew how to actually operate a camera and tripod, which was half the fun. Others (ok...only me) had never even seen a REAL camera until coming to Huntington. But anyway, onto the real reason for this post...the trials and tribulations of filming on a low budget.

As Kelsey says in the video (Film Guppies) we learned what it was like to film on an actual set and create scenes and movements that were the result of our Digital Tools homework. At one point, Kelsey and Kyle were on the ground waving grass in front of the camera in an animated way...it can also be translated into one of those had to be there moments.

At other times, we were trying to get a lady bug to stay on a flower as something to focus on...but the bug had other ideas.

For other scenes, we were on a steep hill while attempting to fix the crappy tripod. The 5 of us were slanted on the hill while panning upwards...sounds awesome right? All while surrounded by barbed wire.

Sounds very juvenile considering what some go through to get the perfect shot, but i'm personally proud of us for our first time ever filming :)

*No cameras were harmed in the making of our videos*
*Sorry to say, there are no pictures of our little adventure*
