I would love to dive into the Coen Brothers' minds to see what makes them tick! There quirky/dark humor gets me almost every time. Even though The Hudsucker Proxy was not my favorite of their films I really enjoyed the quick humor, dialogue, editing and cinematography.
This film captured me throughout its entire hour and 51 minutes. Everything the Coen brother did for this film worked. The quick dialogue that always brought a smile to my face. The role of Amy Archer, which was one of my favorite female characters I have ever seen. The scene where the cab drivers narrate Amy's every move in the cafe. The scene of how the Hula Hoop gained popularity.
This movie was just genius and it really intrigued me. When I first saw O' Brother Where Art Thou I didn't like it too much but the second time I saw it I loved it! I really liked this film and I am sure it will get better with every viewing. I recommend that you all view this film and see what you think. The Coen Brothers movies often have to be viewed with an acquired humor and this one make take a few for some of you.
