I found this blog a little while ago and it was written by one of my favorite Disney animators Andreas Deja (lead animator for Scar, Jafar, Gaston, Lilo and more recently Tigger) Its a wealth of information with tons of drawings from the disney vault! I mean these are sketches of characters before they were even fully thought out! Did YOU know Prince John from Robin Hood was originally a tiger? I sure didn't! Take a look if you are interested! In my book Andreas is right up there with Keane in animation and his love for disney is very apparent.
He is the type of animator I would like to be someday. Character animation has always been a dream of mine. To breath life into character like that would just be wonderful. Anyway, if you love disney animation then make sure you explore the blog!
