#3 Under Appreciated Disney Films

#3 Pete's Dragon (1977)
I prefer this movie versus Mary Poppins, which also had the live action/animation added to it. I used to have a strong dislike for this movie mainly because of the 4 hillbillies, but i've learned to love it.
It's a very quirky and fun loving film about Pete and his invisible dragon, Elliot. Pete escapes his adoptive family, the Gogans, and finds himself in Passamaquoddy.imgres.jpg

Pete ends up meeting Lampie, imgres.jpg a drunken lighthouse keeper, and his daughter Nora, who take him in. Strange things start happening around town, which leads people to believe it is due to the arrival of Pete when it's really Elliot's fault since no one can see him, except when he shows himself to Pete on special occasions. Meanwhile, Nora pines for her lost love who is somewhere out at sea...so what do you do when you're lonely, depressed or suffering in a Disney movie? You sing a song! Like this one...

This movie did pretty well considering it was somewhat hoping for the same reception that Mary Poppins got but let's face it, that was NEVER going to happen! But I do love this movie and really want to watch it right now...

Anyone a fan?imgres.jpg
