Alright, so here is the review I was talking about from Red Letter Media. WARNING: This does contain a plethora of colorful language. But all for a purpose. And that is for correctly critiquing the many story flaws with the film that thought it could rely on the success of its predecessors and technology to get their audiences approval.
As I'm sure many pretentious filmmakers have vented to you at least once in your life, the Star Wars prequels were an utter sham and disappointment to both critics and fans alike. What was supposed to the greatest sci-fi series of our generation, turned out to be an exploration of special effects porn that was marketed to entertain a demographic of ages 5-12. Now don't get me wrong. We DO owe ol' George a lot for his numerous contributions to the film community. But I think that this movie serves as a good lesson that, when given almost unlimited freedom in tools and budget, creativity is easily stifled.
